Dempzy Foley ran for a 2-yard touchdown run with 56 seconds remaining, and Jordan Montgomery tacked on the decisive the 2-point conversion run to give Monroe a 29-28 victory over host Watertown in a Badger South Conference football game on Friday night.

The Goslings took a seven-point lead with 2:46 to go when senior quarterback Dylan Fagerland threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Hayden on fourth-and-goal.

Travis Wolf had 25 carries for 135 yards to lead Monroe.

Fagerland threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns while Hayden finished with nine catches for 118 yards for Watertown.

In four games, Fagerland has thrown for 1,322 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Monona Grove 42, Madison Edgewood 6

Alec Ogden threw for 118 yards and two touchdowns, and added five carries for 158 yards and a pair of scores, as the host Silver Eagles scored the first 42 points en route to a victory over the Crusaders.

Monona Grove’s defense limited Edgewood to 35 yards rushing on 20 attempts and returned an interception for a touchdown.

The Silver Eagles, last year’s WIAA Division 2 state runner-up, remained undefeated on the year and tied with Stoughton for the Badger South lead.

Jack McNeil threw for 109 yards for the Crusaders.

Stoughton 35, Milton 7

Jonathan Malueg threw for touchdowns of 27 and 7 yards to Sam McHone as the host Vikings toppled the Red Hawks in a battle of undefeated teams.

Malueg finished with 175 yards passing, with three touchdowns. Back from injury, running back Brady Schipper ran for three touchdowns and produced 146 yards on the ground.

Josh Johnson scored on a 2-yard run for Milton.

Oregon 34, Fort Atkinson 27

Cedric Girard threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Keion Szudy with a little more than 10 minutes remaining to help the visiting Panthers escape with a victory over the Blackhawks.

Fort Atkinson tied the game 27-27 on a 36-yard field goal by Josh Bilau.

Girard finished with 210 passing yards and four touchdowns.

Kardelle Phillips had five catches for 109 yards for Oregon.

Badger North

Mount Horeb/Barneveld 49, Beaver Dam 7

Luke Hagelin completed 15 of 17 passes for 240 yards to power the host Vikings over the Golden Beavers.

Malik Winston had three rushing scores, including two in the first quarter to give Mount Horeb/Barneveld a 14-0 lead.

The Vikings held Beaver Dam to 129 yards of offense.

Portage 28, Baraboo 19

Erik Isakson had 26 carries for 175 yards and three touchdowns as the host Warriors piled up 343 yards rushing en route to a victory over the Thunderbirds.

Evan Vodak ran for 153 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries to lead Baraboo.

Reedsburg 37, Sauk Prairie 20

Led by two 4-yard rushing touchdowns by junior Jason Walls, the Beavers scored 16 unanswered points in the third quarter and beat the host Eagles.

Senior Ben Horzewski ran for three scores and 148 yards. Walls added 114 yards.

The Beavers had no passing yards.

Senior Dawson Evert threw for 274 yards for Sauk Prairie, including a 90-yard touchdown pass to senior Elijah Jorgenson, who finished with 150 receiving yards.
